We help provide parents with opportunities to connect, ask questions, and spend more time with their children with their providers while doing something fun!

Family engagement is when schools and community members work collaboratively connecting students, families, and staff to expand learning opportunities and community services. Together they share decision-making and advocacy for children. Schools, families, and communities working together strengthen and positively support student future success.

Why It Matters
Time spent with children where appropriate interactions are modeled and encouraged will help parents better understand their impact on their children’s social/emotional skill development.

Free Support for Families & Providers
The Promise Resource Center’s Family Engagement Specialist helps promote family engagement in early care and education settings to improve outcomes for families and children 0-5 yrs old.

The Family Engagement Specialist is a part of Maryland’s Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health (IECMH) Consultation Project. This improves the ability of staff, programs, parents, and families to prevent, identify, treat, and reduce the impact of social, emotional, and other mental health problems among children from birth through 5 years old.
