CSM La Plata & The Family Support Center of Southern Maryland is partnering up to offer FREE Adult Education GED® Preparation with FREE childcare to help families succeed!
Adult education classes are free for adults who are Maryland residents, aged 18 and older and are not required to be enrolled in high school.
You must attend a virtual orientation session prior to taking any class.
GED Preparation classes prepare students to pass the exam for the GED® test and to attain a Maryland high school diploma. Included are opportunities to take GED Ready® tests, practice using the GED calculator, and study targeted GED skills.
Fall 2023 GED Sessions
Fall 8 week sessions begin in late August
Students interested in the program must take an entrance exam – testing begins July 2023.
Classes are virtual with a live instructor and can be taken onsite at the Family Support Center of Southern Maryland.
Class sessions available onsite for free childcare at the Family Support Center of Southern Maryland are:
Mondays & Wednesdays
9am – 11:30am or 12:30pm – 3pm

Tuesdays & Thursdays
9am – 11:30am or 12:30pm – 3pm
FREE onsite childcare provided while attending sessions listed above
Must be an active enrolled family at the Family Support Center. Enrollment is free!
