This program offers center and family based child care providers help and guidance to comply with licensing regulations, assistance in setting up new programs, and resources for helping children who have special needs or mental health issues. In addition, this program helps providers in developing improved program outcomes and quality of their care, access special training classes, and applying to the Maryland Credential Program and MSDE Accreditation program.
Every community in Maryland is served by one of eight regional Child Care Resource Centers (CCRCs). Together, these Centers make up the Maryland Child Care Resource Network (MCCRN), which provides leadership and services designed to improve the quality, availability, and affordability of child care in communities across the state. The Promise Resource Center is a member of MCCRN, serving the southern Maryland child care community. In this capacity, we provide training opportunities and coaching to child care providers in the southern Maryland tri-county area. This innovative public-private partnership was initiated in 1998 and is administered by Maryland Family Network under a contract with the Maryland State Department of Education.
