This activity is great for Easter! Ditch the cups and vinegar this year for a fun spin on this holiday favorite. With just a few tools, you can create endless designs and fun!
You will need:
- Dozen hard boiled eggs
- One or two cans of shaving cream (can be substituted for cool whip)
- Food dye in the colors of your choice
- A flat bottom pan or dish (glass or aluminum)
- Wooden skewer
- Paper towels
- Piece of cardboard
Spray a layer of shaving cream on the bottom of your pan no more than an inch thick. Make sure the cream covers the dish and is smooth. Add drops of the food dye. Swirl the drops around using the skewer. Once you like the swirls, add an egg to one end of the pan. Roll it in a straight line to the other end, making sure the egg is fully covered. Carefully remove the egg and place it on a piece of cardboard. Repeat this process for the remaining eggs. Let them sit for 5-10 minutes. Gently pat dry to remove shaving cream. The eggs are left with fun swirls and designs from the food coloring!
