Meet Jimmy Hayden- Our Blockbuster Sponsor

My name is Jimmy Hayden and I am a realtor with O’Brien Realty. I am very excited to be the Blockbuster Sponsor for the Promise Resource Center’s Drive-In Movie event. I was interested in the idea of sponsoring because my niece Julie had recently joined PRC as a behavioral consultant. I had never heard of the Promise Resource Center or its sister site, SOMDParents.com.  But when I learned they were looking for event sponsors, I was intrigued enough to seek out information about their organization and their reason for coordinating this event. Once I learned that their agency helps families with children who are experiencing mental health concerns, I knew the Drive-In was something I wanted to be a part of.

I’ve lived in St. Mary’s County my whole life, and have always been a big believer in giving back to my community. I have spent many years volunteering with St. John’s School, and the Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department (24 years to be exact), and was excited to support an organization like PRC that benefits our children’s welfare.  Having raised two beautiful, healthy daughters, Kayla and Ami, I understand the importance of our children being the “next” generation. I also think it’s our responsibility as community leaders to provide them with as many resources as possible so that they can be the best version of themselves.

Now that I’ve become familiar with PRC and SOMDparents.com, I am proud to support the work they do and the ways in which they’re helping our community’s families, children and caregivers. I’m so thrilled to be part of PRC’s Drive-In, and to also bring awareness to children’s mental health concerns and the community resources available to parents who deal with these concerns. Supporting an organization that is helping our children is truly something we cannot spend enough energy and resources on. I want to thank PRC for allowing me the opportunity to become the Blockbuster Sponsor for this event. I am confident this event will be a success in many ways and hope it will eventually become an annual occurrence for our southern Maryland community.
