Provider Coach

This program offers center and family based child care providers help and guidance to comply with licensing regulations, assistance in setting up new programs, and resources for helping children who have special needs or mental health issues.

St. Mary’s Early Learning Backpacks

The Early Learning Backpack program was designed to enhance parents’ awareness of and ability to teach early learning skills to their young children. It offers three types of backpacks: Infant, Toddler, and Preschool. The backpacks contain games, activities, and materials appropriate to each age group.

Judy Center Trainer

Through a partnership with the Charles County Judy Center, we provide training for child care providers and parents at the Charles County Judy Center each month. The workshops average 18-20 attendees each month. Our goal in this partnership is to increase the scores of children entering kindergarten under the Maryland School Readiness assessments in the areas of Math, Science and Social Emotional Development.

Project First Choice (IECMH)

This program is part of a statewide effort by the Maryland State Department of Education to help child care providers learn skills to work with children with challenging behaviors. This program gives providers skills and knowledge needed to retain these children in their child care programs and better prepare them for entering school.
